SESL Winter Season Recap with SILENT.OW

Overwatch

27/
04/18
The SESL Winter Season has ended on the 21st of April 2018 after two months of sweat. Our Team finished with a blast!

SILENT.OW had a great run with their 7-0 standing. So it was to be expected that they don't want to stop there with the dominance. They were tested troughout the playoffs and some tried to make a final cut on their path, but it made them more ambitious to rise the trophy. With a 4-0 in the final against mYinsanity the result speaks for itself.

˝We are going to practice a lot more˝

Interview with Philipp "Honey" Gloor

Thank you for your time Honey. I hope the celebration was great after the 4-0 win! How were the following days?
We celebrated our victory and will focus now 100% for the SwissGamingChallenge Qualifier.
What a way to end this season! How is the team spirit right now?
In the whole SESL Winter Season we only lost one map, which is pretty huge and we feel really confident right now.

Did you guys expect this at the start of the season to end up on the big stage?

We did expect to be atleast in the Top 4, but to end it on the first place clearly, that definitely beat our expectations.

How were the days of preparation for the finals? Were you confident or kind of nervous?

We couldn't prepare that well because we didn't play scrims that much lately. For the SGC though we’ve improved the way we manage scrims and I think it's going to work out well.

What's your opinion about the SESL Winter Season?

It was really well organized, especially the final was amazing! The production was high quality and we enjoyed it a lot.

What was your goal for this season? Besides winning of course.

Getting better together as a team. Especially our coordination when we play our aggressive composition.

Was there one team that broke your expectation?

At the beginning we wondered how well Lausanne eSports is going to play because we didn't face them often in matches. But we definitely didn't expect such a good performance from mYinsanity.

Can you tell me something about the future of the team?

We are going to practice a lot more on our team communication, coordination and trying to defend our spot as the best Overwatch team in Switzerland!

Do you want to say something to your competitors?

It was fun to face all of you, and I hope we can deliver many more exciting games next season.

Any closing words?

Prepare yourself, we are coming back even stronger!!

Thank you again Honey!

SILENTGAMING is proud to support the whole team and had a great time seeing your progress over time.

We wish SILENT.OW a good run trough the SwissGamingChallenge Qualifier and we're hyped for the next season!
