Guess who’s back in the streets of King’s Row? Today we’ve got spectacular news for you: We’re welcoming back our team SILENT.OW!
After SILENT.OW disbanded a few months ago, our team manager Simon “dothem” Lehmann had a new mission: Find a new Overwatch team! Finally he was lucky enough to find the «crème de la crème» of the Swiss Overwatch scene. Today we’re introducing to you the new SILENT.OW lineup!
"Since Overwatch is a part of mostly every offline tournament and me being a big fan of this game, I'm very proud to have found our new lineup. I kept being in contact with Matteo since the disband of the old roster and tried to keep the young talent at SILENTGAMING. A lot people stopped playing Overwatch and I'm very excited to see the new team perform with more young talents. I hope SILENTGAMING can help the team being even more awesome than it already is." - Simon "dothem" Lehmann

Simon "dothem" Lehmann

We’re happy to have Matteo "Sk0rpi0n" Palermo back in the active roster and excited to see those well known players perform together in a team! For those who don’t know them yet, we’ve got a little introduction for you:

Matteo "Sk0rpi0n" Palermo

Sk0rpi0n started playing FPS games with titles such as Battlefield 3 and 4, where he held the #1 rank in Switzerland for a long time (on console). Then he switched over to PC and slowly got into the CS:GO scene. While never playing in the Swiss CS:GO eSport scene, he messed around 2000h in about 2 years by playing competitively. Actively since launch he’s been playing Overwatch. He started out as a DPS player and is now known for his flex play. He can play just about anything and got Top500 on several accounts with DPS, tank and support. His preferred hero is Ana, where he is undoubtedly the #1 in Switzerland. By playing Ana he climbed into Top50 in Europe and has the highest skill rating peak in Switzerland. He has been consistently in Top500 in Season 3/4/5/6 and 7.

Marco "Mimi7" Badertscher

Mimi7 played League of Legends competitively for a long time and was always part of the top 3 teams in Switzerland. He started playing Overwatch in open beta and has been playing mostly Winston and Reinhard for his team. At the beginning of 2017 he joined SPG Esports and managed to earn several achievements. After leaving SPG Esports he found his way to SILENTGAMING.

Luca "Luux" Locher

Originally Luux started his eSport adventure by playing Battlefield 3 and 4 for the British team Reign eSports. After the unfortunate demise of competitive Battlefield, he switched to CS:GO where he participated in some tournaments with the well known Swiss LAN team MEGABALLERS. After their disband he tried out the back then newly released Overwatch which quickly caught his interest. Although his hero pool isn't clearly defined, Luux is best known for his aggressive Widowmaker and Roadhog. He was the highest ranked Swiss player in multiple seasons.

Siarhei "Bogur" Alekau

Bogur (also known as Clyde) is a flex/off-tank player. He has achieved the Top500 nearly every season and has been an active player since launch. At first he joined a Spanish team where he played as the main tank (mainly Winston) and managed to win a tournament which led to the reaching of the top 32 players in the contenders season 0. Shortly after the contenders season the team disbanded. After the demise of his newly formed team he wasted no time and quickly found his way into the Swiss scene by playing off-tank role for SPG Esports, where he gained success by winning Zurich Game Show and getting second place at SwitzerLAN. He got very well known for his D.Va play. Due to personal reasons the formal SPG team disbanded and Bogur is now proudly representing SILENTGAMING.

Philipp "Honey" Gloor

After Honey had a relative good career in CS:GO he started playing Overwatch in Season 1. He fell in love with the game very fast and immediately found the perfect hero for himself: Genji. Of course he didn’t lose his interest in playing competitive after CS:GO, so after he learned the basics of Overwatch, Honey was looking for a team. Season after season he played in international teams and became a solid player, with big organisations on his back who brought several victories in well attended tournaments. Due to private reasons Honey had to leave the international team. Soon after, the Swiss scene got his interest which led to SILENTGAMING.

Alex "R3M1X" Badertscher

R3M1X played Overwatch since open beta. He is well known for his good Lucio, which he played since day 1 of Overwatch. At the beginning of 2017 he joined SPG Esports and managed to earn several achievements. After leaving SPG Esports he found his way to SILENTGAMING.

We’re happy to be back in the Swiss Overwatch scene and we’re so excited for the participation of our new team in the next tournaments! Once again, welcome to the #SILENTFamily! GLHF
